I have merged the following guidance on this topic as received from Don Bassler, National Office Staffer and John Peters, NJVC.

Here are the combined guidelines for ENVELOPES, LETTERHEADS and LOGOs.

Here is a page with a few more logos

From: Don Bassler and John Peters

In the past, several bases have requested "official" stationary. We have made some for the National Office in Silverdale for National Office business, and I know others (officers, bases etc.) have made their own using the official logo and United States Submarine Veterans Inc header.

Consulting with National Junior Vice Commander John Peters, we came up with these two samples.

See SAMPLE ENVELOPE and LETTERHEAD layout

As long as the logo and header text are uniform, you can put in your base, title, address etc in the appropriate place and use them from your computer printer, get it printed by a professional printer or what ever.

About the logos and layout - from John Peters NJVC

  • The LOGO and Letterhead can be BLACK, BLUE, GOLD as a Base wants.
  • THE DESIGN and WORDS are protected by Copyright, NOT a color.
  • A Base is free to design the stationery they like.
  • LOGO Left, Center or Right.
    (Followed by) Base information etc.
  • There is NO STANDARD, nor do we need one.
  • Anyone with WordPerfect or WORD can create the Letterhead as they write.
  • Any Base still using a typewriter can have their own Stationery printed.
  • The choice is left up to the Base.
