Inscribed on a bronze plaque in front of the historic Battleship USS TEXAS,
Vice Admiral Lockwood wrote about the fifty-two submarines that are still on patrol: "I can assure you that they went down fighting and that their brothers who survived them took a Grim Toll of our savage enemy."

The prop is marked with the Navy Standard Stock Number, the BUSHIPS serial number,
the BUSHIPS drawing number and other information (it's a Port prop and weighs 3,080 pounds, for example)
