Look on the back of that precious pin… Do you see an expiration date there? If you earned your dolphins, whether it was a "yesterday" on the "Ustafish" or as early as today, there is a place for you in USSVI ... Why? Because that is where your fellow "Brothers of the Dolphin" are, so come on home where we associate to remember our fallen brothers who served in Submarines, gather to maintain the bonds of camaraderie that only "fellow bubbleheads" really understand, and to do good works within our submarine community, both active and veteran.
If you are qualified in Submarines and (1) on active duty, (2) retired, or (3) honorably discharged, take a few minutes, complete the application and send it in. We have chapters (called bases) in forty eight of the fifty states, plus two that are internet based.
Not sure which base to belong to? Tell us and we’ll "attach" you to the closest one.
If you have health issues or live too far from a local base to regularly attend meetings, that is "OK" too.
USSVI has a dual national/local dues structure. For most members, the combined national/base dues structure is as follows:
A small number of bases have a supplemental local charge to cover extra projects they are involved in.
National Life Memberships are also available. Contact the National Office for further information at 877-542-DIVE.
Sid Harrison sez "The external link below is NOT an oh-fishul USSVI statement of policy
or purpose but it will take you to an endorsement of why joining USSVI
is a good thing. (Warning: that link will also take you to an area of the
internet where all PC pretensions are left on the pier. So if you have
become an overly sensitive guy since leaving the boats - don't go there.
Otherwise happy clicking.
You have been warned.)"
