There were at least four bases that had asked about where to obtain vests.

The thought was maybe four or five basic types: Light blue, Navy Blue, White, with gold scroll and without gold scroll with USSVI emblem on the back etc.

An E-mail request was sent to all Base Storekeepers and to all POCs to contact their Vest suppliers.

Requested from each vest supplier was a standard vest in sizes small to XX large.

The vest specifications were:

Embroider 9 ¾" X 6 ¾" USSVI Logo on the back
Embroider base name on the back
Embroider 4 boat names and hull numbers on the back
Embroider 3 ½" X 3" USSVI logo on the front
Embroider member's name on the front
Gold Piping.

The responses are as follows:

Very heavy cotton twill almost like a canvas but softer. We have them in Navy (S-5XL) and Royal (S-3XL) in stock. Note these are designed to be worn as a form fitted vest therefore you must order one size bigger. Anything larger than 3XL (other than Navy) or in any colors other than black, navy, red, hunter green, burgundy, eggplant or sage requires a custom order on my part.

The 1st three patches come with the vest. The buyer provides the patch's. Each patch over three costs another $3.
