Greetings to all Shipmates of U. S. Submarine Veterans Inc.

---- NOMINATIONS ----

In my capacity as Nominations and Resolutions Chairman, and in accordance with the By-laws (Article VI, Section 8, Paragraph Cl), I am asking for nominations for the National Offices of:

    1.   National Commander, One (l) Year Term.
    2.   Senior Vice Commander, One (l) Year Term.
    3.   Junior Vice Commander, One (l) Year Term.
    4.   National Secretary, One (l) Year Term.
    5.   National Treasurer, One (l) Year Term.

The prerequisite for National Office is that a nominee must be a Regular or Life Member in good standing a minimum of 30 consecutive months.

Any member in good standing may nominate any other member in good standing for elected National Office.

However, the Constitution (article XI,Section 1, paragraph (b)) was changed (9/03).

Nominees for Junior Vice Commander and senior Vice Commander must have completed at least two years as a member of the Board of Directors.

Nominees for National Commander must have completed at least two years as a voting member of the Board of Directors by the time they take office.

If the member so nominated is interested in running for one of the above offices, he must send me a letter stating that he would accept a nomination to a National Office, (please specify which office), and if elected, would serve for the specified time.

Also included must be his qualifications, not to exceed one hundred(100) words, (By-laws Article VII, Section 1).
