VA Grants Funds in Two States

The Veterans Administration is targeting over $25 million in grant money to two states -- Louisiana and Wisconsin. Making sure that Louisiana has comfortable residences for its veterans, the VA is targeting $12.3 million in grant money to construct a new facility in Bossier City. The grant will pay up to 65 percent of the costs for constructing a new 156-bed nursing home in Bossier City. In Wisconsin, veterans will have greater access to long-term health care, thanks to a $13 million grant to build a state nursing home and activities center in Union Grove. The $13 million grant will pay up to 65 percent of the cost to construct and equip a 120-bed state veterans home and activities center.
