The VA awarded grants last week to veterans homes in North Carolina, Delaware, and Wisconsin. Over $331,000 in grant money for improvements to the Fayetteville, NC facility. The grant will pay up to 65 percent of the cost to construct a storage building, gazebo and replace the roof at Fayetteville. In Delaware, a $19.4 million grant was awarded by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for a new state nursing home in Milford. The grant will pay up to 65 percent of the cost to construct a new 150-bed nursing home and domiciliary. And, in Wisconsin, the VA awarded a grant of $1 million to the state of Wisconsin to renovate the well water system at the state veterans home in King and $264,344 to renovate the ventilation system.
