The Department of Veterans Affairs recently announced that they have begun processing claims for the Reserve Educational Assistance Program (Chapter 1607 GI Bill).

This long awaited announcement means that thousands of Guard and Reserve servicemembers will soon begin receiving education benefits.

Retroactive REAP benefits are potentially payable to servicemembers who were activated for 90 or more days since September 11, 2001.
