The Secretary of Veterans Affairs announced last week a $43 million grant to replace the State Veterans Home in Oxford, New York.

The grant will pay up to 65 percent of the cost to replace the 242-bed nursing home at Oxford.

The overall cost of the project is approximately $66 million.

In New York, VA operates 11 major hospitals, 11 nursing homes, 12 Vet Centers and more than 50 outpatient clinics.
