VA Awards Grant for Connecticut Veterans Home

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced a grant of $2,990,000 for renovations of the State Veterans Home in Rocky Hill, CT.

The grant will pay up to 65 percent of the cost to replace the main water supply system at the state facility.

The overall cost of the project is about $4.6 million. Connecticut's veterans homes are available to veterans who served on active duty for 181 days or more.

Veterans must be Connecticut residents, have honorable discharges and demonstrate a medical need. Some spouses of eligible veterans may also be eligible.
