The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is targeting more than $807,000 in grant money for improvements to the State Veterans Home in Yountville, Ca.

The grant will pay up to 65 percent of the cost for general renovations at the home, including a new chiller for the facility's air conditioning system.

The overall cost of the project is approximately $1.24 million. The home provides skilled nursing care to about 1,110 veterans.
