Gents,

I have had some requests from members who want to raffle off various
items to raise funds for various projects. This is very commendable
and I will endeavor to support these requests.

The local committee has decided that any raffles conducted to raise
funds for whatever projects is the responsibility of the requesting
organizations. They must conduct the raffle in such a manner that it
is beyond reproach and resolve issues (if any) that may arise as a
result of the raffle. Additionally they must adhere to the following
requirements:

1. Tickets will be sold from a table in the Vendor Room.

2. Seller will use 2 part tickets and insure that the buyer
completes information on the stub.

3. Seller will furnish own device for storing and mixing ticket
stubs.

4. Seller will hold the drawing in the Convention Hospitality Room
or other announced location. Drawing date, time and location
must be conspicuously posted at their sales table in the Vendor
Room.

5. Seller will notify local convention committee of winner's name
and hometown for publication in the final convention report) and
post the drawing results in the Convention Hospitality Room and at
their sales table in the Vendor Room.

Don Brown,
Convention Chairman

"The members of SUBVETS Groton Base "have the watch" for the
SUBVETSWWII NATIONAL MEMORIAL EAST and we are most honored by our
Shipmates from SUBVETS WWII with this trust.

We are committed to continue the high standards that they have set in
taking care of this Memorial, and we will continue to pay honor and
tribute and to continue the legacy not only of the heroes who were
lost during WWII, but also to the heroes who survived the war: those
heroes from SV WWII who initially established and maintained this
Memorial as a tribute to their Shipmates on Eternal Patrol."
