As I told your National Chairman a few weeks ago, I am honored and humbled to have been selected to fill the position. Sid has done yeoman work for the last several years. I know I'm going to have to work hard to reach the bar he has set. That said, I'm looking foward to working with your CTO, Don Gentry, and the rest of the USSVI National Leadership to improve the USSVI website. Don't expect major changes right off, because I don't believe in change just for change's sake. I do believe in being open, and I am open to suggestions, ideas, and even complaints and criticisms. GOLDN TRIANGLE BASE NOW FORMED =================================================================== SUBMITTED BY: ART RANDALL ArtRandall@aol.com =================================================================== Gentlemen and Shipmates of USSVI I am pleased to announce formation of the newest Base in USSVI, the Golden Triangle Base, launched on August 16, 2004, to serve our Submarine Veteran Brethren in the Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas areas, including Beaumont, Orange and Port Arthur, Texas as well as Louisiana communities such as Lake Charles and DeRidder, Louisiana. It is the fifth new Base to be formed in Texas this year now numbering 10 for a 100% increase in Texas Bases over last year and the twelfth new Base in the Central Region in the ten months following Reno II.
