Let me introduce you to LT Tom Donohue. He was part of the last crew of the USS Kamehameha. One of his secondary duties was Public Affairs Officer and after the Kam returned from her last Westpac he was assigned to be in charge of the team that put together the ceremony for the Inactivation at Pearl. That is where I met him thru e-mail because I was working on the ships reunion to be at the same time. I supplied him with names of past crew members coming to the ceremony and reunion. The job he did on the ceremony was awesome. About three weeks later 24 of us old Kam crew rode from San Diego to Alameda and I got to know the LT even better. I can say a lot about him but this should sum it up. He is: hardworking, intelligent, tall and handsome. If you were to pick an actor to be a sub officer you would pick someone who looked like him.

I have posted 71 pictures of the Submarine Veteran's 28-boat reunion at Manitowoc, WI.

This was a gathering of submarine sailors and shipyard workers who were involved with the sailing and building of the 28 submarines built there during WW2. Album includes a tour of the museum submarine USS COBIA.

As soon as I send this broadcast out, I am leaving for the Seventh Maritime Heritage Conference in Norfolk, VA. I will be returning on Sunday. Feel free to send things (I have 100MB of mail storage), but don't expect any answers until next week. I have a number of updates to work on during the evenings, when I am not attending the conference. I will post them when I return.
