Shipmates:

This is a personal invitation to you and all your base members to attend the Holland Club breakfast at Little Rock.

These are the shipmates who helped make history and created the world's greatest Submarine Navy.

Do you remember standing topside watches?

What I would give to be able to stand them again.

At sea seemingly endless dark skies at night under a tropical moon, your boat trailing long phosphorus wake in the sea and the Flying fish leaping out of the water and the Porpoise swimming alongside.

How could you not miss it! Come help us remember and enjoy old memories together.

The Holland Club Breakfast is an opportunity to you and your shipmates to Honor our "Senior Submariners".

All Holland Club members are recognized at the breakfast, especially the new members "Class of 2005 -2006".

(We have inducted over 330 since our last meeting in Kansas City.)

At the breakfast we especially honor the longest (earliest) qualified Submariner present.

WW-11 members present will be specially recognized.

I request any Base Cdrs. who have base members eligible to for induction at this time and will be present at Little Rock to nominate your base members now and inform me so we may prepare their certificates for presentation. If you have men eligible for induction at that time they will be inducted in front of their shipmates at the breakfast by myself, our VIP guest speaker and our National officers, National Cdr. and past National Cdr.

Senior Submariners (Any one who qualified in 1946 or earlier) who inform me prior to the breakfast will be presented with a Senior Submariner Certificate.

Any Holland Club members of your base who you would like to be given special recognition let me know ASAP so we can appropriately recognize them.

You do not have to be a member of the Holland Club to attend the breakfast "All hands" shipmates, friends and wives are welcome.

All hands including the ladies are given a small souvenir gift for attending. Looking forward to seeing you at the Holland Club Breakfast.

Pride Runs Deep

Item 08 .... A SubVet Ad for all USSVI Base Newsletters and Websites
=================================================================
Submitted by Art Randall
=================================================================
Last year we had developed an Advertisement that you could use for Base Newsletters, Websites, etc., and recruiting programs. If you took advantage of this program, you will want to update it for 2007. Available immediately to all Bases is a USSVI JPEG Ad that can be customized for any Base Newsletter and/or Website, for recruiting, Base development or Public Relations, awareness program purposes.

The Ad was originally developed to run in the Journal of the Navy League during 2002-2003. The only difference for the purpose of this announcement is it was created to be an example of how it would appear, had it been customized for the USS Oklahoma City Base. Of course, the statistical information in the will be updated for 2007.

The Oklahoma City Base example can be seen at:
http://www.ussvi.org/wrdocs/USSVI_OKC_Base_Ad.jpg

All I need is your

. Base name as you want it to appear
. Contact Name
. Address
. Phone Number
. E-mail address

Send the above to me at artrandall@aol.com and I will update it as per the above 5 listed items and return it back to you for your use.

Thanks

ART
