As the Webmaster, I am easily accessible on the internet via the presence of the OFFICIAL USSVI WEBSITE. It also turns out that for that reason of accessibility the Webmaster gets the latest scoop on all changes that impact the POC LIST (aka personnel alignments)

What this means is that your's truly (the Webmaster) is the maintainer and custodian of the MASTER POC LIST (and related pages).

From that MASTER POC LIST is where the National Office at Silverdale, the NJVC and the American Submariner (and you) can find the latest updates by clicking on the various data pages.

From time to time, I am also called upon to act as a kind of USSVI MESSAGE/NOTICE "RELAY STATION" for information that is required to be passed along to all of you.

As mentioned above, the MASTER POC LIST and associated pages contain the who-is-what and who-is-where and how-to-reach-them data. So obviously I need to keep all of you current with ANY AND ALL changes to that data.

What data is that, you ask? It's the stuff you see in these pages.

I would urge each of you to look through them ALL with a critical eye and send me any corrections.

There is no magic about how I get this info. YOU SEND IT.

What I DON'T do: I do not "troll" the online forums looking for stuff.   So I rely on YOU to send it to me.

Now that's a pretty simple concept. And that's how the data stays current:
It goes FROM YOUR KEYBOARD TO MY COMPUTER TO THE USSVI WEBPAGES.

What you are reading right now is an excerpt from
POC BROADCAST Number 00-001.

The "00-" is the year 2000 and the 001 being the first
number for this POC BROADCAST.

The Next BROADCAST will be numbered 00-002
and so forth after that.

....ZAP-NOTE.......................

The other type of "send" is the ZAP-NOTE

It is a brief notice usually containing only one or
two items. The ZAP-NOTE is for items that need
to go out immediately. It is a kind of "overnight delivery".

Items in a ZAP-NOTE are not archived individually.
However, they will show up in the next BROADCAST and
are thus archived there.
